- 1 pound Mozzarella cheese, plain or smoked
- 2 large or 3 medium firm tomatoes
- 20 leaves of fresh basil
- Olive or vegetable oil of choice for drizzling
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
1. Slice mozzarella and tomatoes 1/4 inch thick.
2. Alternate tomatoes, basil leaves and mozzarella in a circular pattern of layers across serving platter.
3. Drizzle with oil. Top with salt and pepper to taste.
